Central Park in Schenectady

Central Park in Schenectady is a great urban park with a golf course too. It was built in the classic late 19th and early 20th-century tradition of parks based on Central Park in New York City. it has a well-tended rose garden. Though it fell into neglect, various resident activists have worked hard to restore the rose garden and the park to high standards.

People get married in the rose garden and have their reception in the beautiful pavilion (reservations/rental fee required). This park hosts a number of play areas, tournament-level tennis courts, an active local Master Gardener program at the greenhouse, a disc golf course, and much more.
