Twin Bridges on the Northway
The Bridges from the South, or Albany County, Side 

The Twin Bridges on the Adirondack Northway, or I-87 at MP 9 is where the interstate highway crosses the Mohawk River between Albany County and Saratoga County, connecting Colonie to Halfmoon. It's official name is the Thaddeus Kosciusko Bridge, named after the Polish Lithuanian military engineer who aided the USA in the Revolutionary War.

 

It is a through arch style bridge. At this point on the Mohawk River, the Erie, or Barge, Canal is part of the river.
